we do know that the most surely - and fastest - way to be surprised is to unperturbedly pay attention to an object. At some moment it will appear to us as if we’ve never seen it before.

title: bird’s eye view

Until now drawings and living drawings (seemingly endless stop-motion animations) are the biggest part of my practice. With some regularity, objects and shortfilms also arise out of these drawings and animations.

The themes of interest vary, but phenomena such as timelessness and also (non)duality are inspiring and therefore recurring topics. These express themselves in various forms from monumental architectural designs to simple plain drawings with a suggestive character.

Language also plays quite a role. Words, letters, signs, titles and drawings often fuse into a semiotic play in which appearing meanings constantly seem to change.
